OWNER REPORTED, “2-26-2023 TO CHECK ON THE CHAINS BEFORE A STORM MOVED IN 02/28/2023. EVERYTHING LOOKED FINE AT THAT TIME. I RETURNED ON 3-1-2023 PLANNING TO FLY BEFORE WORK. DURING THE PREFIGHT, I NOTICED THE DAMAGE TO THE LEFT-WING TIP. LATER IN THE DAY ON 3-1-2023 I MET MY FATHER AT THE AIRPORT TO LOOK AT THE DAMAGE. THAT IS WHEN WE NOTICED THE DAMAGE TO THE LEFT MAIN WHEEL. I ADDED RATCHET STRAPS TO TIE DOWN THE AIRCRAFT THAT NIGHT AND LEFT IT ALONE UNTIL WE MET ON 3-6-2023”.

WALKED THE RUNWAY BOTH NORTH AND SOUTH, NO DEBRIS ON RUNWAY THAT RESEMBLED A WHEEL/WING STRIKE. THE SCRAPES INDICATE FORWARD MOVEMENT AND THE DAMAGE POINTS ARE NOT CONSISTANT WITH A VECHICAL COLLISION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA136](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA136), Mar 1, 2023: Cessna 150F (N3090X), Hillsboro, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: Substantial damage for reasons undetermined based on the available evidence.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
