## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 21, 2023, AT 1233HRS EDT, A BHT 206 L-4, WHILE BEING USED FOR HELICOPTER AIR AMBULANCE OPERATIONS, HAD TO ACCOMPLISH A PRECAUTIONARY LANDING (PL) AT CENTRAL KENTUCKY REGIONAL AIRPORT (RGA) DUE TO A POSSIBLE CREW MEMBER ILLNESS. WHILE TRANSPORTING A PATIENT FROM BAPTIST HEALTH HOSPITAL TO UNIVERSITY OF KENTUCKY MEDICAL CENTER, PIC BECAME UNRESPONSIVE AND OPERATED THE AIRCRAFT IN A CARELESS AND RECKLESS MANNER SO AS TO ENDANGER LIFE AND/OR PROPERTY AND WAS IMPLORED BY THE FLIGHT MEDICAL CREW TO LAND AT THE CLOSET AIRPORT. ON MARCH 22, 2023, AT 0849HRS CDT, CH NOTIFIED THE FAA THE PIC HAD FAILED A DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION (DOT) ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND APPEARS TO HAVE HAD OPERATED THE AIRCRAFT IN AN ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATE. AAM-830 WILL TAKE OVER INVESTIGATION AND EIR PROCESS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
