## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MARCH 23, 2023, AT 1236 MST, A STEMME AG MODEL STEMME S12, POWERED GLIDER, WAS ON A LOCAL AREA FLIGHT FROM KDVT UNDER VISUAL FLIGHT RULES. UPON REACHING A LOWER ALTITUDE WHILE GLIDING, AN ENGINE START WAS ATTEMPTED BUT FAILED. THE PIC PERFORMED AN EMERGENCY LANDING WITH THE GEAR RAISED ON A GOLF COURSE CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT, AND NO INJURIES TO THE PIC OR PEOPLE ON THE GROUND. THIS WAS ORIGINALLY CONSIDERED AN ACCIDENT BUT LATER NTSB DOWNGRADED IT TO AN INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
