## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON APRIL 4, 2023, AT APPROXIMATELY 15:11 LOCAL, THE PARACHUTIST INITIATED A TURN TO FINAL APPROACH AND STRUCK THE GROUND AT A HIGH RATE OF SPEED AT THE ZEPHYRHILLS MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (ZPH - ZEPHYRHILLS, FL). THE PARACHUTIST WAS TRANSPORTED TO LAKELAND REGIONAL HOSPITAL AND PRONOUNCED DECEASED ON APRIL 4, 2023, AT 16:06 LOCAL, BY THE ATTENDING DOCTOR.

ON MAY 22, 2023, THE PARACHUTE SYSTEM WAS INSPECTED BY A DESIGNATED PARACHUTE RIGGER EXAMINER (DPRE) AND OBSERVED BY FAA AVIATION SAFETY INSPECTORS. NO ABNORMALATIES OR DEFICIENCIES WERE FOUND. RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO BE SATISFACTORY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
