## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE APPROACHING THE AIRPORT FOR A FUEL STOP THE PILOT DID NOT RECEIVE A 'DOWN AND LOCKED' INDICATION FOR THE LANDING GEAR. A WING MOUNTED GEAR MIRROR CONFIRMED THAT THE NOSE GEAR DID NOT EXTEND. AFTER SEVERAL ATTEMPTS OF NORMAL DEPLOYMENT AND EMERGENCY HAND PUMP DEPLOYMENT, AFTER ALL TROUBLESHOOTING WAS EXHAUSTED BY THE PILOT, THE NOSE GEAR STILL WOULD NOT COME DOWN.

THE PILOT PERFORMED A LANDING WITH THE NOSE GEAR RETRACTED CAUSING MINOR DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. AFTER JACKING THE AIRCRAFT AND MANUALLY LOWERING THE NOSE GEAR, THE AIRCRAFT WAS MOVED INTO A HANGER.

INSPECTION OF THE AIRCRAFT NOSE LANDING GEAR AREA WAS PERFORMED, IT WAS DISCOVERED THAT THE COTTER PIN AND CLEVIS PIN THAT SECURED THE NOSE GEAR LOCK DOOR ACTUATOR TO ITS LINKAGE WAS NO LONGER INSTALLED AND PREVENTED THE NOSE GEAR FROM EXTENDING. IF ANY ADDITIONAL INFORMATION COMES FORWARD FROM THE NTSB THIS REPORT WILL BE AMENDED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
