## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DEPARTED KDLS STRAIGHT OVER THE RIDGE TO S20. STARTED PULLING POWER TO 20" MAP FOR DESCENT. PUT THE AIRPORT TO THE LEFT, VIEWED WIND SOCK INDICATING SLIGHT WEST WIND AND TURNED UPWIND FOR RUNWAY 25.

SET POWER FOR 12" MAP, FULL RICH, FINE PITCH, SLOWED TO GEAR SPEED. TURNED X-WIND. RADIO CALL. DOWNWIND. THIS WAS AN OVERHEAD STYLE PATTERN.

9" MAP, 100 KIAS INTO BASE TURN. 2/3 FLAPS. STABLE APPROACH. NO WIND.

ADDED A LITTLE POWER INTENDING TO LAND ON "THE NUMBERS".

80 KIAS "OVER THE FENCE".

PILOT NOTED SINK RATE LOOKED HIGH VISUALLY AND SO APPLIED POWER AND INCREASED PITCH RIGHT WHEN AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN PRIOR TO RUNWAY.

PILOT NOTED WITNESS MARKS OF GEAR STARTED 3-5 FEET PRIOR TO RUNWAY THRESHOLD.

PILOT NOTED HE DID NOT SEE THE SAVASI LIGHTS ON THE APPROACH EVEN WITH THE RUNWAY LIGHTS ON VIA CTAF. BUT AFTER THE INCIDENT WALKED OUT TO THE LIGHTS AND SAW THEY WERE ON.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
