## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT WAS DOING TOUCH AND GO'S AT AIRPORT 5FL7 AROUND 2050. PILOT TOOK OFF FROM R22 WITH THE AIRCRAFT SET UP FOR FLIGHT. SHORTLY AFTER ROTATION, THE AIRCRAFT MADE CONTACT WITH A TREE ON THE LEFT WING WHICH CAUSED THE AIRCRAFT TO CAUSE LOSS OF CONTROL AND THE AIRCRAFT CRASHED THROUGH THE TREES AND CAME TO REST IN A WOODED YARD CLOSE TO THE AIRSTRIP.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA23LA222](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA23LA222), May 8, 2023: Cessna 150M (N150VL), Hernando, FL, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain adequate clearance from obstacles during takeoff at night.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
