## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS CLEARED FOR A LONG LANDING ON RWY 7L. HIS INTENTION WAS TO USE FULL LENGTH TO EXIT RWY 7L AT TWY A, WHERE THE AIRCRAFT IS PARKED AT HIS FATHER'S CERTIFICATED FACILITY NEAR TWY A. PILOT TOUCHED DOWN NEAR TWY C AND WAS FAST TAXIING WITH TAIL UP NEARING TWY B WHEN ANC TWR SAID "^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^, IF ABLE TURN LEFT AT BRAVO". PILOT REPLIED "YES, IF I CAN SLOW DOWN AND DO A 180 TURN ON THE RUNWAY". PILOT APPLIED HARD BRAKING, AND THE AIRCRAFT WENT NOSE OVER/FLIPPED OVER ONTO ITS BACK ON THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS REMOVED FROM THE RUNWAY USING EQUIPMENT OWNED BY HIS FATHER, FROM HIS FATHER'S CERTIFICATED FACILITY NEAR TWY A.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ANC23LA035](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ANC23LA035), May 17, 2023: Piper PA22 (N7741D), Anchorage, AK, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's excessive braking during the landing roll, resulting in a nose over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
