## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS WAS A REPOSITIONING FLIGHT FROM HYA TO ACK AND PASSENGERS ONBOARD. THE PIC RECIEVED A FLICKERING DOOR WARNING LIGHT AND CONTINUED THE FLIGHT. WHILE IN CRUISE FLIGHT THE PIC TRIED TO ADJUST HE CREW DOOR HANDLE TO EXTINGUISH THE DOOR WARNING LIGHT. AT THAT TIME THE CREW DOOR OPENED AND SWUNG UP STRIKING THE UPPER FUSELAGE AND SHATTERING THE CREW DOOR GLASS AS WELL AS DAMAGING THE ANTENNA. THE PILOT DECRESED AIRSPEED AND MADE A SAFE LANDING AT ACK WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
