## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE ACCIDENT FLIGHT WAS AN AERIAL 0BSERVATION COMPANY OPERATING UNDER FAA PART 91. AFTER COMPLETING THEIR NIGHT SHIFT, THE PILOT LANDED AT KINGMAN AIRPORT AT 3:45AM. DURING THE LANDING ROLLOUT THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE EXPERIENCED A FLAT NOSE TIRE. AFTER COMING TO A STOP, THE PILOT ASKED THE CAMERA OPERATOR TO STEP OUT AND SEE IF THE TIRE WAS FLAT. THE CAMERA OPERATOR CONFIRMED THE FLAT TIRE AND MADE MOVEMENTS AROUND THE FRONT OF THE AIRCRAFT TO COMMUNICATE WITH THE PILOT WHILE THE ENGINE WAS RUNNING. THE CAMERA OPERATOR WAS THEN STRUCK BY THE PROPELLOR RESULTING IN SERIOUS INJURY TO HIS SHOULDER AND BACK. HE WAS TRANSPORTED FOR MEDICAL ATTENTION AND IS EXPECTED TO RECOVER.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR23LA207](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR23LA207), May 26, 2023: Cessna 182Q (N94599), Kingman, AZ, minor damage. Probable cause: The failure of the passenger to adequately maintain a safe distance from the airplane’s propeller and the determination to let the passenger exit the airplane with the engine running.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
