## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE STUDENT PILOT DURING HIS FIRST SOLO FLIGHT ON THE FIRST ATTEMPT TO LAND REALIZED THAT THE APPROACH WAS NOT STABLE AND DECIDED TO ABORT AND GO-AROUND. THE SECOND LANDING WAS FAST AND DURING THE ROLL-OUT PHASE THE PILOT APPLIED ACCESSIVE LEFT BRAKING CAUSING THE AIRCRAFT TO DRIFT OFF THE RUNWAY HITTING A RUNWAY LIGHT. THE DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT WAS MINOR. THE PILOT DID NOT SUSTAIN INJURIES.

AIRCRAFT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO HAVE PROPER AIRCRAFT CERTIFICATION AND CURRENT INSPECTION STATUS. PILOT RECORDS WERE REVIEWED AND FOUND TO HAVE THE CORRECT CERTIFICATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
