## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON TUESDAY MAY 30TH 9:35AM ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ DEPARTED FROM S50 (AUBURN MUNICIPAL AIRPORT) HEADING TO KBFI (BOEING FIELD). WHILE COMPLETING LANDING CHECKLIST, PILOT NOTICED THAT THE GEAR DID NOT FULLY EXTEND AND WAS STUCK IN TRANSIT. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO CYCLE GEAR HANDLE NUMEROUS TIMES WITH NO MOVEMENT FROM GEAR. SUSPECTING A PROBLEM IN THE HYDRAULIC SYSTEM PILOT ATTEMPTED TO EXTEND MY HYDRAULIC FLAPS AND THEY ALSO DID NOT EXTEND. PILOT RAN EMERGENCY CHECKLIST TO USE THE EMERGENCY BACK-UP HAND PUMP WHICH DID NOT WORK. PILOT THEN FLEW TOWARDS KTIW (TACOMA NARROWS) WHERE EMERGENCY GEAR UP LANDING WAS EXECUTED. AIRCRAFT SLID DOWN CENTERLINE OF RUNWAY BEFORE SLIDING TO THE LEFT AND CAME TO A STOP IN THE GRASS JUST TO THE LEFT OF RUNWAY MIDFIELD. MAINTENANCE DISCOVERED A CRACKED ROTARY GEAR ACTUATOR THAT CAUSED THE GEAR TO NOT EXTEND, IN TURN CAUSING THE ACCIDENT

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
