## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON MAY 30, 2023 AT 1755Z AT KOXC AIRPORT, AN RV-10, OPERATED BY A PILOT HAD DONE TWO HIGH SPEEED TAXIS TO GET INTO GROUND EFFECT THEN TAXI BACK TO THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TAXIING BACK ON TAXIWAY A WHEN THE PILOT REPORTED THAT HE LOST A TIRE AND NEEDED TOWING. PILOT STATES THE WHEELPANT WAS CAUGHT AND MAY HAVE PLAYED A ROLE IN THE HEAT BUILD UP UNDER THE AIRCRAFT. NO DAMAGE TO ANY OTHER STRUCTURE THAN THE TIRE ASSEMBLY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
