## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURING A LOW PASS OVER A FIELD, THE AIRCRAFT LOST POWER AND THE PILOT ATTEMPTED TO MAKE A CLIMBING TURN BACK TOWARDS HIS PRIVATE AIRFIELD WITHOUT SUCCESS. THE AIRCRAFT STRUCK A TREE AND POWER WIRES AND IMPACTED THE GROUND, COMING TO REST IN A PASTURE. THE AIRCRAFT WAS DESTOYED BY FIRE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR23LA218](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR23LA218), Jun 7, 2023: Cessna A188B (N731UF), Chillicothe, MO, destroyed. Probable cause: A partial loss of engine power due to a tear in the fuel manifold diaphragm, which prevented sufficient fuel flow to the engine.

## Other reports on N731UF (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19930919034879A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19930919034879A), Sep 19, 1993: Cessna A188B (N731UF), Manila, AR, Substantial damage. Lost power on takeoff roll. Dumped load. Lifted end runway. Failed climb. Boom hit cotton. Intake hose collapsed.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
