## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE LANDING, THE PILOT OF THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN ON RUNWAY 18, ROLLED APPROXIMATELY 100 FEET, THEN VEERED OFF TO THE LEFT SIDE OF THE RUNWAY. ONE PROPELLER BLADE STRUCK A PRECISION APPROACH PATH INDICATOR AND SHATTERED. THE RIGHT MAIN GEAR HIT A HOLE AND SEPERARATED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. DUE TO THE MISSING GEAR, THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST ON ITS RIGHT SIDE CAUSING SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE TO THE RIGHT WING. THE REMANING PROPELLER BLADE THEN CONTACTED THE GROUND CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE ENGINE FIREWALL DUE TO THE SUDDEN STOPPAGE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA249](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA249), Jun 21, 2023: Cessna 175 (N9354B), Mesquite, TX, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s inability to maintain directional control during the landing roll due to corroded brake caliper pins.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
