## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JUNE 27, 2023, AT APPROXIMATELY 6:30PM (CST), STUDENT PILOT WAS FLYING A CESSNA C-150, SOLO, IN THE PATTERN, PRACTICING TOUCH AND GO PROCEDURES.

LANDED HARD ON RUNWAY 17L, THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO THE NOSE WHEEL ASSEMBLY.

WHILE ON FINAL APPROACH AFTER REACHING THE RUNWAY HE ARRESTED HIS DESCENT AND BEGAN TO TRANSITION DOWN THE RUNWAY FOR LANDING TOO EARLY. AS A RESULT, THE PLANE LANDED HARDER THAN USUAL.

AFTER LANDING HE NOTIFIED AIR TRAFFIC CONTROL (ATC) AND FOLLOWED THEIR INSTRUCTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
