## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 07/03/2023 @ APPROXIMATELY 1100 THE PIC OF ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ WAS ATTEMPTING A LANDING AT MYL, ON A GRASS STRIP ADJACENT TO RUNWAY 16/34. THE PIC INADVERTENTLY RESTED HIS FEET ON THE HEEL BRAKES OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT SUBSEQUENTLY FLIPPED OVER ON TOUCHDOWN. AIRCRAFT HAS BEEN APPROPRIATELY MODIFIED WITH LARGER "TUNDRA TIRES" AND A BRAKE BOOSTER. THE INCREASED SURFACE AREA AND BRAKING ABILITY CONTRIBUTED TO THIS ACCIDENT BUT WERE NOT THE PRIMARY OR SECONDARY CAUSE, PRIMARY CAUSE IS PILOT ERROR SECONDARY MISMANAGED CONTROLS.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR23LA250](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR23LA250), Jul 3, 2023: Piper PA-18 (N36KG), McCall, ID, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s application of wheel brakes during landing roll out, resulting in a nose over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
