## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE STUDENT PILOT HAD CONTACTED THE CFI BEFORE THE FLIGHT AND DISCUSSED THE APPROACHING CONVECTIVE WEATHER. THEY DETERMINED THAT THE SOLO FLIGHT COULD ACCOMPLISHED BEFORE THE WEATHER MOVED IN. THE STUDENT WENT FLYING ON HIS SOLO FLIGHT AND, WHILE FLYING, RECEIVED A TEXT FROM HIS CFI STATING THAT HE NEEDED TO RETURN AND LAND DUE TO THE WEATHER. THE STUDENT RETURNED TO THE AIRPORT AND LANDED. AS HE WAS TAXIING BACK, THE WIND WAS GETTING STRONGER. WHEN HE STOPPED AT A TAXIWAY INTERSECTION, THE WIND LIFTED THE REAR OF THE AIRPLANE AND THE LEFT WINGTIP AND PROPELLER CONTACTED THE GROUND. THE STUDENT CONTACTED GROUND CONTROL AND THEN EXITED THE AIRPLANE. THERE WERE NO INJURIES.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
