## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

DURNING THE LANDING ROLLOUT THE AIRPLANE BEGAN TO TURN LEFT. THE PILOT APPLIED RIGHT RUDDER PRESSURE AND RIGHT BRAKE TO STOP THE TURN. IT APPEARS THAT EXCESSIVE RIGHT BRAKE WAS APPLIED AND THE AIRCRAFT BEGAN TO TURN SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT. THE LEFT WING LIFTED DURING THE RIGHT TURN. THE PILOT THEN APPLIED HEAVY BRAKE PRESSURE TO BOTH LEFT AND RIGHT BRAKES. THE NOSE OF THE AIRCRAFT THEN PITCHED DOWNWARD SHARPLY, RESULTING IN THE PROPELLER AND PROPELLER NOSE CONE MAKING CONTACT WITH THE PAVED RUNWAY SURFACE. AS THE AIRCRAFT SLID OF THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY ON ITS NOSE, THE NOSE CONE IMBEDDED INTO THE DIRT AT THE EDGE OF THE PAVED SURFACE AND FLIPPED THE AIRCRAFT OVER. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO REST UPSIDE DOWN AND SUISTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE. THE PILOT EXITED THE AIRCRAFT AND SUFFERED NO INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB WPR23LA276](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/WPR23LA276), Jul 18, 2023: Cessna 150F (N300SS), Chelan, WA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot's loss of directional control during the landing roll, which resulted in a ground loop and subsequent nose over.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
