## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 21, 2023 AT 1015 CST, A COZY MKIV ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^Z LANDED ON A HIGHWAY NEAR LEWISTON, WI DUE TO AN ELECTRICAL SYSTEM FAILURE WHILE ENROUTE TO OSHKOSH WI. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN SUCCESSFULLY, HOWEVER HAD TO EXIT THE ROAD TO AVOID ONCOMING TRAFFIC. THE AIRCRAFT HAD MINOR DAMAGE TO A WHEEL PANT FAIRING. THE PILOT RECEIVED NO INJURIES AND THE PASSENGER HAD MINOR INJURIES. THE AIRCRAFT WAS BEING OPERATED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AS A PERSONAL FLIGHT UNDER 14 CFR PART 91 WHEN THE INCIDENT OCCURRED. VISUAL METEOROLOGICAL CONDITIONS PREVAILED AT THE TIME.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
