## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

FLIGHT DEPARTED HOUSTON, (KIAH) FOR LAKE CHARLES REGIONAL AIRPORT (KLCH) UNDER 14CFR PART 121 DOMESTIC SCHEDULED FLIGHT. SCHEDULED FLIGHT TIME FOR THIS FLIGHT, 0+30MIN.

THE CREW ELECTED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 5 UTILIZING THE RNAV APPROACH. RUNWAY 5 IS 5200FT IN LENGTH AND NOT GROOVED. THE AVAILABLE FORECASTED WEATHER (TAF) INDICATED THAT A FRONT WAS LIKELY TO PASS OVER THE FIELD AT THEIR TIME OF ARRIVAL. AT THE TIME OF ARRIVAL THE FRONT WAS OVER THE FIELD WITH HEAVY RAIN, THUNDERSTORMS LOWER VISIBILITY AND WIND GUSTS. THE AIRCRAFT TOUCHED DOWN OUTSIDE OF THE TOUCHDOWN ZONE (LONG) AND DEPARTED THE END OF THE RUNWAY INTO A GRASS AREA. NO DAMAGE OCCURRED TO THE AIRCRAFT. ALL 34 PASSENGERS AND 3 CREW MEMBERS ONBOARD EXITED THE AIRCRAFT WITH NO INJURIES. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
