## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THE PILOT OF THE CESSNA 182J ATTEMPTED TO LAND AT MINUTE MAN AIRFIELD (6B6), STOW MA. AND BOUNCED TWO OR THREE TIMES BEFORE ABORTING THE LANDING AND ATTEMPTING A GO AROUND. PILOT ADVANCED THE THROTTLE BUT NEGLECTED TO RETRACT THE FLAPS DURING THE CLIMB OUT WHICH RESULTED IN A LACK OF LIFT, AND SUBSEQUENT GROUND IMPACT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA23LA304](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA23LA304), Jul 23, 2023: Cessna 182 (N7ET), Stow, MA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s delayed decision to abort the landing, which resulted in a collision with trees.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
