## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER ENTERING FIRST APPLICATION RUN, PILOT NOTICED POWERLINE CROSSING HIS FLIGHT PATH ABOUT 20 FEET AHEAD. FOLLOWING THE WIRE STRIKE, PILOT PERFORMED QUICK STOP AND LOWERED HELICOPTER INTO THE CORN.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA328](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA328), Jul 26, 2023: Robinson Helicopter R44 (N467HA), Hanlontown, IA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain clearance from a cable during spray operations.

## Other reports on N467HA (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Incident 20180715011239I](https://openairdocs.org/incident/20180715011239I), Jul 15, 2018: Robinson Helicopter R44 (N467HA), Larue County, KY, Minor damage. Aircraft came into contact with power lines during a reposition for a part 137 aerial application operation.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
