## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON JULY 27, 2023 AT APPROXIMATELY 1030 EDT, A TEXTRON AVIATION INC. 208B LANDED UNEVENTFULLY IN THE EAST RIVER IN NEW YORK VIA THE NORTH TIP OF THE RIVER. WHILE TAXING TO THE NEW YORK SKYPORTS SEAPLANE BASE (6N7), THE PILOT AND CO-PILOT NOTED A LARGE POWER BOAT DRIVE BY CAUSING A LARGE WAKE. THE PILOT POSITIONED THE AIRCRAFT 45 DEGREES INTO THE WAKE BUT THE PROXIMITY OF THE FIRST AND SECOND WAVE WERE TOO CLOSE TOGETHER CAUSING THE PROPELLER TO STRIKE THE WATER DISABLING THE AIRCRAFT. NO INJURIES WERE SUSTAINED BY THE CREW MEMBERS. THE DISABLED AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TOWED TO THE ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ MARINA IN BRONX, NY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
