## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE APPROACHING THE DOWNWIND THE AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A LOSS OF ENGINE POWER, ALONG WITH A TEMPORARY LOSS OF INSTRUMENTATION POWER. THE PILOT PROCEEDED DIRECTLY TO THE AIRPORT WITH A CONTINUED LOSS OF ENGINE POWER. AS THE PILOT APPROACHED THE RUNWAY AT A RIGHT ANGLE THE PILOT BELIEVED THAT LANDING IN THAT DIRECT WOULD LEAD TO A COLLISION WITH BUILDINGS ON THE GROUND. THE PILOT ATTEMPTED A RIGHT TURN TO ALIGN WITH RUNWAY 34. DURING THAT ATTEMPT THE AIRCRAFTS RIGHT WING IMPACTED WITH A TAXIWAY, FOLLOWED BY THE REST OF THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP IN A GRASSY AREA IN-BETWEEN THE RUNWAY AND THE TAXIWAY. THE AIRCRAFTS RIGHT WING HAD DETACHED FROM THE AIRCRAFT AND BROKE INTO TWO PIECES. THE EMPENNAGE ALSO HAD SHEARED OFF COMPLETELY DUE TO THE IMPACT.
