## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

WHILE CONDUCTING CROP SPRAYING OPERATIONS THE PILOT LOST SITUATIONAL AWARENESS DURING A TURN AROUND AND CAME IN ON THE WRONG SIDE OF A TREE LINE/HEGDE ROW THAN HE WAS EXPECTING TO. ALTHOUGH HE WAS AWARE OF THE POWER LINES, BEING ON THE WRONG SIDE OF THE HEDGE ROW ELIMINATED THE VISUAL CUE HE WAS ANTICIPATING TO PULL UP AT. BY THE TIME HE RECOGNIZED HIS MISTAKE THE POWER LINES WERE RIGHT IN FRONT OF HIM AND HE PULLED UP QUICKLY AND STRUCK THEM WITH THE AIRCRAFT UNDERSIDE/LANDING GEAR. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE AND THE PILOT WAS ABLE TO RETURN TO THE AIRPORT AND LAND WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.

## Other reports on N705Y (1)

Matched to the same aircraft by N-number and date.

- [Accident 19950201001009A](https://openairdocs.org/incident/19950201001009A), Feb 1, 1995: Scwzer G164B (N705Y), Pixley, CA, Substantial damage. Lost power on procedure turn. Landed in muddy field. Nosed over. NR3 cylinder cracked. Split between igniter holes.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
