## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT STATED AS FOLLOWS: THE ORIGINAL PLAN FOR THE AFTERNOON WAS TO DO A FEW HIGH SPEED TAXI AND GET USED TO THE AIRCRAFT ON THE GROUND. ON THE FIRST RUN I PULLED THE NOSE UP A LITTLE AND THEN TRIED TO EASE THE REAR WHEELS UP. WHEN I ADDED A LITTLE POWER THE AIRCRAFT UNEXPECTEDLY GAINED ALTITUDE AT A HIGH RATE. I LEVELED OFF AND PULLED POWER BACK TO BRING IT BACK DOWN TO THE RUNWAY. I NOTICED A TREE FAIRLY CLOSE TO MY 10 O'CLOCK AND ATTEMPTED TO TURN RIGHT BACK TOWARD CENTERLINE. THE AIRCRAFT TURNED LEFT AND THAT'S WHEN I KNEW I WAS IN A STALL. I SHOULD HAVE POWERED UP AND NOSED DOWN BUT THAT TREE, NOW MORE IN FRONT OF ME, FROZE MY MIND AND I HESITATED. THE HESITATION LED TO THE UNRECOVERABLE STALL INTO THE GROUND.
