## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

SHORTLY AFTER TAKEOFF, AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED DUAL HYDRAULIC FAILURE. CREW DECLARED EMERGENCY AND APPROACHED HNL. LANDING GEAR HANDLE WAS PLACED IN DOWN POSITION BUT GEAR DID NOT INDICATE DOWN. EMERGENCY GEAR HANDLED WAS PULLED BUT ONLY NOSE AND MAIN INDICATED DOWN AND LOCKED (GREEN). CREW CONDUCTED FLY BY OF TOWER AND TOWER INDICATED THE GEAR APPEARED DOWN. CREW LANDED AIRCRAFT AND UPON TOUCHDOWN, THE LEFT MAIN COLLAPSED. THE DESIGN OF THE AIRCRAFT RESULTED IN THE LET MAIN SUPPORTING THE AIRCRAFT IN THE RETRACTED POSITION BECAUSE THE WHEEL PROTRUDES FROM THE WHEEL POD IN THE RETRACTED POSITION. NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT. AIRCRAFT WAS LIFTED SO THE GEAR COULD BE EXTENDED AND LOCKED TO TOW THE AIRCRAFT TO THE OPERATOR'S MAINTENANCE FACILITY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
