## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ ON LANDING AT KFLL, PILOT SELECTED REVERSE THRUST USING NORMAL PROCEDURES. THE CREW NOTED A MILD JOLT WITH A SLIGHT YAW TO THE RIGHT. EICAS MESSAGE "HYD LO QTY" AFTER THRUST LEVERS WERE ADVANCED BACK TO IDLE POSITION, FORWARD OF THE REVERSE GATE. EXITED RUNWAY, CONDUCTED A SHORT TAXI TO GATE WHILE MONITORING HYD QTY. UPON ARRIVAL AT GATE, DISCOVERED AFT REVERSER SECTION OF ENG 2 WAS DETACHED FROM AIRCRAFT WITH VISIBLE SIGNS OF HYD FLUID LOSS. RAMP AND TOWER QUICKLY NOTIFIED. NO INJURIES TO CREW OR PAX. ALL PASSENGERS AND CREW DISEMBARKED SAFELY WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT. INVESTIGATION CONFIRMED CREW USED APPROVED PROCEDURES. FAA AIRWORTHINESS INSPECTOR REVIEWED MAINTENANCE RECORDS WITH NO DISCREPANCIES NOTED. MEETING WITH NTSB RESULTED IN CONCLUSION THAT THIS INCIDENT WAS NOT OPERATIONAL, BUT MECHANICAL/HARDWARE. NTSB INDICATED IT WOULD TAKE CONSIDERABLE TIME TO ANALYIZE THE THRUST REVERSER PARTS FOR DEFECTS. FAA INVESTIGATION COMPLETED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
