## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT ENTERED APPROACH TO RUNWAY 36. AFTER LOWERING THE LANDING GEAR, THE PILOT NOTICED THE LANDING GEAR CONTROL UNIT WAS UNRESPONSIVE. PILOT CONTACTED TOWER TO ADVISE THEM THAT THERE WAS NO INDICATION OF LANDING GEAR BEING EXTENDED AND ASKED CONTROL TOWER IF A VISUAL CONFORMATION COULD BE MADE THAT GEAR WAS DOWN. TOWER ADVISED THAT THE MAIN AND NOSE GEAR APPEARED TO BE DOWN. PILOT RESPONDED THAT HE WOULD CONTINUE WITH THE LANDING. AFTER TOUCHING DOWN PILOT STATED THE MAIN GEAR FELT SECURE SO PILOT THEN, GENTLY, LOWERED THE NOSE TO COMPLETE THE LANDING. PILOT STATED THAT WITHIN SECOND THE NOSE GEAR COLLAPSED, AND PILOT HAD NO CONTROL AS THE AIRCRAFT SKIDDED TO A STOP RESTING OFF OF THE RUNWAY.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
