## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS ON FIRST SUPERVISED SOLO FLIGHT. AFTER SECOND SOLO LANDING AIRCRAFT SLOWED TOO QUICKLY PRIOR TO TURN OFF, PILOT ADDED POWER CAUSING AIRCRAFT TO SPEED UP MORE THAN PLANNED FOR. PILOT PULLED POWER TO IDLE AND REALIZED THEY WOULD BE UNABLE TO MAKE SAFE TURN, APPLIED BRAKES AND STOPPED AT TAXIWAY EDGE. CHOICE BETWEEN TURNING BACK FOR RUNWAY OR TAXIWAY, PILOT CHOSE TAXIWAY TO NOT CAUSE RUNWAY INCURSION. APPLIED POWER TO MAKE SHARP RIGHT TURN, AIRCRAFT ROLLED INTO GRASS. PROPELLER STRUCK TAXIWAY LIGHT - DAMAGING PROPELLER AND LIGHT. PILOT REDUCED POWER TO IDLE AGAIN, STOPPED AIRCRAFT AND CONTACTED ATC. ATTEMPTED AGAIN TO MOVE AIRCRAFT IN GRASS BUT WOULDN'T MOVE. AIRCRAFT WAS THEN TOWED TO RAMP FROM GRASS AREA FOR MTX INSPECTION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
