## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PLEASE NOTE THAT OUR OFFICES WERE NOTIFIED OF THIS INCIDENT VIA A COMPLAINT ON FEBRUARY 8, 2024.

ON 8/25/2023, THIS CIRRUS SR 22 WAS BEING FLOWN FROM KBTR TO KDTN UNDER CFR PART 91 OPERATIONS. AIRCRAFT WAS BEING FLOWN BY ONE PIC AND CARRYING TWO PASSENGERS ON BOARD. AT APPROXIMATELY 10:30 PM LOCAL TIME, THE AIRCRAFT IN QUESTION, UPON ITS DESCENT AND LANDING AT DTN (SHREVEPORT REGIONAL AIRPORT) VIA RUNWAY 32, STRUCK A DEER CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE LANDING GEAR, FAIRING, AND LEFT FLAP. THE INCIDENT WAS NOT REPORTED TO THE FSDO AT THE TIME SINCE THE AIRPORT TOWER WAS CLOSED. AIRPORT WAS NOT DAMAGED, AND NO PERSONNEL WAS INJURED AT THE TIME OF THE INCIDENT. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED TO THE HANGAR FOR SUBSEQUENT INSPECTIONS AND REPAIRS AS REQUIRED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
