## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS CONDUCTING STOP AND GOES WITH A PASSENGER ONBOARD. ON TAKEOFF FROM RWY33 THE AIRCRAFT DID NOT OBTAIN PROPER TAKEOFF SPEED OF 60-65 KNOTS, AND INSTEAD DEPARTED THE GROUND AT 50-55 KNOTS. PILOT ELECTED TO CONTINUE TAKEOFF BELIEVING HE COULD SLOWLY GAIN SUFFICIENT AIRSPEED. AT 50-100' AGL PILOT REALIZED HE WOULD NOT BE ABLE TO GAIN AIRSPEED. PILOT ELECTED TO ATTEMPT A 180 DEGREE RETURN TO THE AIRFIELD RATHER THAN ATTEMPTING AN OFFIELD LANDING STRAIGHT AHEAD DUE TO POSSIBLE OBSTACLES AHEAD. IN TURN AIRCRAFT LOST LIFT, PILOT ATTEMPTED TO NOSE FORWARD TO ATTEMPT TO REGAIN AIRSPEED BUT WAS UNSUCESSFUL. FLARE CONDUCTED SHORTLY BEFORE IMPACT WITH TAIL TAKING MOST OF THE DAMAGE AND ABSORBING IMPACT.
