## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED ANCHORAGE WITH NO ISSUES AND FLEW 65 MILES WEST TO CAPPS CREEK, ON TOUCHDOWN A CAPPS CREEK THE LANDING TOUCHDOWN WAS LONG AND THEN HIT A SWELL IN THE SURFACE AND BOUNCED THEN STARTED THE ROLLOUT RIGHT AFTER THE BOUNCE. THE PILOT FELT THE SPEED WAS STILL HIGH AND APPLIED FULL POWER TO ABORT THE LANDING JUST PRIOR TO DEPARTING THE LANDING SURFACE. WHEN THE AIRCRAFT DEPARTED THE LANDING SURFACE IT WENT OVER A LEDGE AND DOWN INTO A GULLY WHILE NEVER REGAINING ENOUGH SPEED TO CLIMB. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A REST IN A SMALL CREEK BED AFTER SLIDING ON THE SOFT TUNDRA.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
