PILOT WAS PRACTICING LANDINGS. AT APPROXIMATELY 800 FT, WHILE TURNING BASE ON APPROACH, A MEDIUM SIZED BIRD WAS STRUCK WITH THE LEADING EDGE OF THE LEFT WING. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT FURTHER INCIDENT.
