## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT DEPARTED FROM GULF SHORES, AL (KJKA) AIRPORT, ENROUTE TO SUNDANCE AIRPORT, OK (KHSD). WHILE ENROUTE AT APPROXIMATELY 10,000FT AND 30 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ELDORADO ARKANSAS, THE ENGINE DEVELOPED A VIBRATION. THE PILOT USED THE MIXTURE CONTROL TO MINIMIZE THE VIBRATION AND LOCATE A SUITABLE LANDING AREA. THE MANIPULATION OF THE MIXTURE CONTROL BY THE PILOT COULD NO LONGER KEEP THE ENGINE RUNNING. THE PILOT ELECTED TO PERFORM A FORCED LANDING IN A CLEARING OF A HEAVILY WOODED AREA APPROXIMATELY 4 MILES SOUTHEAST OF ELDORADO ARKANSAS. THE AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED SUBSTANTIAL DAMAGE AND THE 2 OCCUPANTS RECEIVED MINOR INJURIES.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.
