## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

APPROXIMATELY 20 MINUTES AFTER DEPARTING BLUEGRASS LEX ENROUTE TO GKT, THE PILOT NOTICED THE DOOR INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATED. PILOT LOOKED BACK AT THE PASSENGER DOOR AND NOTICED THAT THE LATCH WAS UNDONE. PILOT ATTEMPTED TO SECURE THE DOOR AND WHEN HE TOUCHED THE LATCH, THE DOOR IMMEDIATELY DEPARTED FROM THE AIRCRAFT. THE PILOT CONTACTED INDY CENTER TO NOTIFY THEM THAT THE DOOR DEPARTED AND WAS DIVERTING TO LOZ. AIRCRAFT LANDED WITHOUT ANY FURHTER INCIDENTS.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
