## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS MAKING APPROACH TO HIS PROPERTY. HE GOT TOO CLOSE TO A FENCE ON THE PROPERTY LINE AND ADVANCED THE THROTTLE. ENGINE DID NOT RESPOND AS FAST AS HE THOUGHT IT WOULD, SO HE WAS TRYING TO NOT HIT THE FENCE AND NOT STALL THE AIRCRAFT. THE AIRCRAFT PULLED TO THE RIGHT. THE RIGHT WING HIT THE ROOF OF A HOUSE SOUTH OF THE FENCE AND THE AIRCRAFT INVERTED AND HIT A BARN SOUTH OF THE HOUSE.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN23LA422](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN23LA422), Sep 26, 2023: Quicksilver Sport II (N728NN), Welsh, LA, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain sufficient altitude from obstacles during the simulated landing approach which led to a collision with a fence and a building.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
