AT APPROXIMATELY 1950 EDT, AFTER TOUCHDOWN AT CRG RUNWAY 32 (ON ROLL-OUT), THE PILOT APPLIED NORMAL BRAKING PRESSURE AND EXPERIENCED A SUDDEN LOSS OF RESPONSIVENESS/RESISTANCE IN THE LEFT RUDDER/BRAKE PEDAL. AS THE AIRCRAFT APPROACHED THE END OF RUNWAY 32, THE AIRCRAFT MOMENTUM AND INSUFFICIENT BRAKING FUNCTION RESULTED IN A RUNWAY EXCURSION. THE AIRCRAFT CAME TO A STOP TOWARDS THE RIGHT OF THE PRE-THRESHOLD PAVEMENT IN THE GRASS AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY. THE AIRCRAFT WAS TOWED FROM THE RUNWAY BACK TO THE RAMP WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE AIRCRAFT OR AIRPORT PROPERTY, AND THE PILOT WAS UNINJURED.
