## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 2, 2023 AT APPROXIMATELY 1210 LOCAL, PRIVATE PILOT TAXIED A CESSNA 172 FOLLOWING A CIRRUS SR20 TOWARDS THE CHARLIE RUNUP AREA AT VAN NUYS AIRPORT (VNY), VAN NUYS, CA. A BOMBARDIER GLOBAL EXPRESS WAS HOLDING SHORT OF RWY 16R. THE CIRRUS SR20 SUCCESSFULLY TAXIED BEHIND THE BOMBARDIER TO THE RUNUP AREA. PRIVATE PILOT OF CESSNA 172 WENT TO FOLLOW. IT WAS AT THIS TIME THE BOMARDIER ADVANCED THEIR THROTTLES WITH THE CESSNA 172 BEHIND. THE CESSNA’S RIGHT WING TIP WAS BLOWN UPWARD WHILE THE LEFT WING TIP AND PROPELLOR WERE PUSHED INTO THE GROUND.

MINOR DAMAGE TO LEFT WING TIP (SPAR IS INTACT) AND BOTH PROPELLOR TIPS SUSTAINED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
