## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON OCTOBER 7TH, 2023, THE OPERATOR LANDED ON THE GRASS PARALLEL TO RUNWAY 12 AT MADERA MUNICIPAL AIRPORT (MAE). THE AIRCRAFT LOST DIRECTIONAL CONTROL AND COLLIDED WITH THE 1000FT MARKER DURING THE LANDING. DESPITE THE INCIDENT, THE OPERATOR WAS ABLE TO TAXI THE AIRCRAFT TO THE HANGAR WITHOUT FURTHER ISSUES. FOLLOWING THIS, THE OPERATOR ARRANGED FOR A VISUAL INSPECTION TO BE CONDUCTED BY A LOCAL REPAIR FACILITY. THE INSPECTION REVEALED DAMAGE TO THE FAIRING OF THE RIGHT LANDING GEAR, THE RIGHT LOWER WING TIP, AND A HOLE THAT WENT THROUGH THE FABRIC AND CAME OUT AT THE TOP (RIGHT LOWER WING, INBOARD TRAILING EDGE). NO INJURIES REPORTED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
