## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

PILOT WAS TAKING OFF FROM RWY 04 AT EASTON ESN. PILOT REPORTED AFTER LIFTOFF BETWEEN 10-30 FEET OFF THE GROUND, AIRCRAFT STARTED UNCOMMANDING RIGHT TURN. PILOT ATTEMPTED LEFT RUDDER INPUT WITHOUT RESPONSE. EVIDENCE SHOWS PILOT ENTERED INTO RIGHT ROLL AND NOT A YAW TURN. WHEN ROTORS TOUCHED THE GROUND, AIRCRAFT CRASHED ON THE RUNWAY COMING TO FULL STOP AT THE INTERSECTION OF RWY’S 04 AND 33. ALL FLIGHT CONTROLS HAD POSITIVE CONTINUITY DURING AFTER THE CRASH INSPECTION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB ERA24LA008](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA008), Oct 13, 2023: Rotorsport UK Mtosport 2017 (N975CD), Easton, MD, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain control of the gyroplane on takeoff.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
