- [NTSB ERA24LA010](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/ERA24LA010), Oct 15, 2023: Czech Aircraft Works Spol Sro Sportcruiser (N72FU), Southport, NC, substantial damage. Probable cause: The student pilot’s use of carburetor heat during takeoff, which resulted in a partial loss of engine power during initial climb due to an excessively rich fuel-air mixture.

Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong.
