## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

ON 10/29/2023 AT APROXIMATELY 05:05 LOCAL TIME, ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ OPERATING AS UA 1123 CAPETOWN INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (FACT) TO NEWARK LIBERTY INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (KEWR) STRUCK A JET BRIDGE WHILE PULLING INTO GATE 67A. THE LH WING STRUCK THE JETBRIDGE FROM GATE B66 CAUSING DAMAGE TO THE SLATS AND THE WING UNDERSKIN.

THE AIRCRAFT HAD A FLIGHT CREW COMPLEMENT OF 4, CABIN CREW OF 10 AND PASSENGER COUNT OF 235. NO INJURIES WERE REPORTED AND NO EVACUATION WAS CALLED OUT.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
