## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT EXPERIENCED A HARD LANDING ON A GRASS STRIP. THE PROPELLOR BLADES FROM BOTH LEFT ENGINES CONTACTED THE GROUND. THE AIRCRAFT VEERED LEFT AND STRUCK A GOLF CART NEAR THE EDGE OF THE RUNWAY. ONE PERSON NEAR THE CART WAS SLIGHTLY INJURED. THE GOLF CART WAS DAMAGED. THE LEFT WING WAS DAMAGED ON THE LEADING EDGE WITH A DENT NEAR THE OUTBOARD WING TIP AND DENTS INBOARD OF THE NUMBER 2 ENGINE TOWARDS THE FUSELAGE.

21A: IN THIS INSPECTOR'S OPINION, THE NOSE WHEEL DID NOT EXTEND BELOW THE FUSELAGE A SUFFICIENT DISTANCE FOR THE LENGTH OF THE PROPELLER BLADES. THE BUILDER EXPRESSED THE SAME THOUGHTS AFTER THE FACT. HE WENT BACK TO THE DRAWING BOARD TO MODIFY THE PARTS IN QUESTION.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA032](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA032), Nov 5, 2023: Tom Hodgson 29 (N29XB), Kokomo, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The pilot’s failure to maintain directional control during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
