## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

2 MINUTES AFTER TAKEOFF FROM KVIH, THE AIRCRAFT ENGINE EXPERIENCED EXCESSIVELY HIGH TEMPERATURE ON THE #2 ENGINE CYLINDER. 30 SECONDS LATER THE ENGINE BEGAN TO VIBRATE AND SHAKE, ULTIMATELY LOSING POWER. THE AIRCRAFT MADE AN UNEVENTFUL LANDING ON THE MISSOURI I44 INTERSTATE NEAR MILE MARKER 165. REPORTED NO DAMAGE OR INJURY TO PERSONS OR PROPERTY.

THE PILOT EXAMINED THE ENGINE AND FOUND THE #1 CONNECTING ROD BROKEN FOR REASONS UNKNOWN.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
