## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

AIRCRAFT WAS CLEARED TO LAND ON RUNWAY 33. THERE WAS AN AIRLINER WAITING TO DEPART. THE PILOT PLANNED TO LAND JUST BEYOND THE THRESHOLD TO ALLOW FOR A TURN OFF ON THE FIRST TAXIWAY SO THE AIRLINER COULD DEPART AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. JUST BEFORE REACHING THE THRESHOLD THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT DOWNDRAFT WHICH CAUSED THE PLANE TO SINK AND IT TOUCHED THE LIGHTS ON THE THRESHOLD.

THE PILOT TAXIED TO INTERSTATE AVIATION, INSPECTED THE PLANE AND THERE WAS ONLY MINOR DAMAGE. NOSE WHEEL TIRE REPLACED.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
