## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

THIS OFFICE TALKED TO THE PILOT IN COMMAND (PIC)- THEY MENTIONED NO MECHANICAL ISSUES AND STATED " I WAS A LITTLE BIT OFF ON THE LANDING. IT WAS AN HOUR BEFORE SUNSET, CLOUDS COMING IN TIGHT ON DOWN WIND ROLLED OUT AND THOUGHT I HAD IT STRAIGHT".

THE PIC STATED THEY MISJUDGED THE HEIGHT AND NOSE WHEEL DUG INTO THE GROUND. ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ STATED THAT THEY DIDN'T REPORT IT BECAUSE THEY THOUGHT THE MECHANIC WOULD DO IT. THE PIC WASN'T SURE OF THE REQUIREMENTS AS FAR AS EXPERIMENTAL AIRCRAFT WERE CONCERNED. NO INJURY DURING THIS EVENT.

## The NTSB's investigation of this event (1)

From the NTSB's public API. Aircraft are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported serial number, make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model.

- [NTSB CEN24LA103](https://openairdocs.org/ntsb/CEN24LA103), Dec 8, 2023: Vans RV6 (N330RH), Bremen, IN, substantial damage. Probable cause: The collapse of the nose landing gear after it contacted soft terrain during the landing roll.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
