## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

12/15/2023 FORM 8020-9 RECEIVED FROM ROC IN CONJUNCTION WITH PHONE CALL FROM BETHAL REGIONAL AIRPORTS (OB1) MANAGER STATING A CIRRUS SR22 HAD DEPARTED CONTROLLED FLIGHT DURING A LANDING AT 1052L. PILOT WAS UNINJURED AND AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED MINOR DAMAGE. INTERVIEW WITH PILOT AND INSPECTION OF AIRCRAFT PERFORMED BY FAA IIC ON 12/18/2023. PILOT STATED THAT DURING AN ATTEMPT TO LAND ON RUNWAY 32 HE ENCOUNTERED A GUST OF CROSS WIND WHILE IN THE TOUCH DOWN PHASE OF FLIGHT. THIS RESULTED IN THE AIRCRAFT BOUNCING SEVERAL TIMES AND GOING LEFT OF THE CENTERLINE STRIKING A RUNWAY LIGHT TRAVELING OFF THE RUNWAY BEFORE EVENTUALLY BEING BROUGHT BACK INTO CONTROL ON THE RUNWAY. AIRCRAFT SUSTAINED DAMAGE TO ALL THREE OF ITS PROPELLER TIPS, NOSE GEAR WHEEL FAIRING, RIGHT MAIN GEAR FAIRING AND SCRATCHES TO THE UNDERSIDE OF THE FUSELAGE.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
