## Narrative

As the FAA filed it, in capitals; the FAA replaces private details with ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^.

REPORTED BY ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ (TO ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ AND FAA): ^PRIVACY DATA OMITTED^ EXPERIENCED A BAGGAGE SMOKE AFT RED CAS MESSAGE. WE OBSERVED THAT ALL PARAMETERS WERE STABLE AND NO SMOKE NOR ODOUR WAS NOTICEABLE. QRH CHECKLIST WAS COMPLETED WITHIN ONE MINUTE WITH THE MENTION OF LANDING AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. AT 2236Z MAYDAY CALL WAS DECLARED WITH JACKSONVILLE CENTER AND DECISION WAS MADE TO LAND AT KMCO. WE ADVISED ATC OF OUR THE NATURE OF THE EMERGENCY AND ASKED FOR VECTORS TOWARDS KMCO. THE ORIGINAL PLAN WAS TO LAND ON RW36L, BUT ULTIMATELY VECTERED US TO LAND ON RW3.

NOTE: THE INITAL REPORT INDICATES THAT THE EVENT WAS CAUSED BY A FAULTY CAS MESSAGE INDICATION.

From the FAA Accident/Incident Data System. Reports are matched to registry aircraft by N-number and event date, checked against the reported make and model; the registry's history has gaps, so older matches can be wrong. Compare the reported make and model. For accidents, the NTSB's own investigation is the fuller record.
